Before you even attempt to install your own ceiling speakers, be sure to know that there are of course a lot of professionals out there that can take care of your project for a fee. But if you are bit by the DIY bug and feeling adventurous and of course save some money, be sure that there are always different ways to approach it, and what I’m about to tell you is only one of the ways. Be sure to do a thorough job when doing your research before you actually do the job. We take no responsibility and/or liability if anything happens, so always remember to ask for help and more importantly is to be safe.

In each section I will outline some of tips you may need, but always do additional research! It never hurts to have extra help and opinions!

So the first section we will talk about when it comes to installing your ceiling speakers is the wiring part. I think I stress enough, and I have to mention it again that you have to be aware of your building fire codes and always read the owners manual to read about things you have to be aware of. The specific wires are often coded to match those that you need, be sure to read and ask professionals. For drilling holes into walls, tools like electric drills, stud finders, wall anchors are extremely important, and if you don’t know what those are you likely are not ready for an installation project of ceiling speaker.

If additional AC outlets are needed, be sure to hire an electrician to install them, unless of course you are very well versed in that area, for me I know my limitations and I use resources when I need them.

Wirings for your ceiling speakers are often coded accord to different applications, whether it is use near a heat duct (where you would obviously need heat resistant outer materials) or outdoors (more susceptible to different weather conditions), be sure to ask the associates when purchasing your wires.

Some points you should remember when wiring the ceiling speaker wires.

If possible avoid drilling, wiring too close to the AC power lines due to the chances of damaging the wires and of course, god forbids short circuit the power supply. Try to also use separate drill holes to mount the ceiling speakers wire and its AC power line. This is a performance tweak and will in likelihood increase the lifetime expectancy of your wires.

For obvious reasons it is always having the wiring done before the house is fully completed is always the best idea, or if the walls maybe too congested there are other options you can consider when it comes to wiring for your ceiling speakers. Hiding the wires in the door moldings, in heating or a/c ducts, using furniture to your advantage and hide them there

Remember to always have MORE wire than you intend to, it’s always a better idea to have more, and of course always plan ahead and draw out diagrams and blueprints! Also if you had multiple ceiling speakers, from sonar quality point of view you would want their audio signals to all be in sync regardless of their positioning. Have one long wire with the amount of conductors as you have ceiling speakers, and connect them all to the same wire.

So remember here are a few pointers you can look at when you are looking installing your ceiling speakers, so be sure to do more research!
